CNN interviewed a pediatrician YESTERDAY who stated:
✅we have failed and continue to fail kids with schools closed & poor planning ✅the fact states and schools didn’t start planning for school reopening and still don’t have solid plans this many months later is unacceptable ✅distance learning is NOT effective for young kids and was/is a failure and recipe for long term consequences ✅covid-19 poses little risk to children ✅transmission from children to adults is LOW ✅schools are essential and teachers should be provided PPE to do their job like essential workers ✅government and schools need to find a way to get schools open for children ASAP
